Print looking a bit creased?
Don’t panic, it’s completely normal!
Because we use high-quality, premium vinyl for our large designs, the print can sometimes get a little creased if it's been folded up tight with our packaging while travelling to you in the post.
Vinyl has a bit of a memory, but it’s incredibly easy to reset. You definitely don't need to send it back; you can make it look completely box-fresh and smooth in no time.
How to smooth it out:
The "Just Chuck It In The Wash" Method (Easiest!) If you don't fancy messing about with irons, just pop it through a normal laundry cycle! Wash it inside out at 30°C, hang it up to dry naturally, and the washing process will completely reset the vinyl and drop the creases out automatically.
The Iron Method (Fastest Results)
-
Lay your tee or sweatshirt completely flat.
-
Place a clean tea towel or a sheet of baking parchment directly over the design. CRUCIAL RULE: Never, ever put a hot iron directly onto the bare vinyl print, or it will melt!
-
Press down firmly with a hot iron for just 5 seconds.
-
Lift it up, let it cool down for a moment, and the vinyl will flatten out perfectly.
The Steamer Method If you have a clothes steamer, hang the garment up and give it a quick blast. The heat relaxes the vinyl instantly!
