Our Story: From the Sofa to the Studio

We can’t believe it’s been almost 6 years since Northern Power Garms was born in a Manchester living room. It’s was a wild ride! Navigating a global pandemic, a new baby, and a toddler who was all about the chaos.

Jules didn't let any of that stop the hustle. She fired up Instagram and started shipping tees and hoodies straight from the sofa. You lot loved the merch, and the community started to grow.

A move to West Yorkshire, a makeshift home studio, and the addition of Debbie to the team saw things go from 0 to 100 real quick. We teamed up with incredible designers, and then... BAM! We opened the doors to our very first physical shop in Halifax!

The shop was a massive chapter for us. 2.5 years of madness, meeting you all in person, and shipping thousands of orders. But, we realised that to grow the right way, we had to refocus.

The Next Chapter: The NPG Studio We’ve officially moved out of the high street and into our new dedicated studio at Croft Myl, Halifax.

Going back to a studio setup isn't a step back. it’s a power move. It means we can focus 100% of our energy on the quality of the garms, the markets you love, and the online community that built us. It means more time to innovate, more time for family, and more time to make sure NPG stays true to its roots.

We wouldn't be here without your incredible support. Whether you found us on the sofa in 2020 or in the studio in 2026, we love you to bits. Here’s to many more years of good times, good vibes, and even better garms. 🥂
